Trip Casablanca to Fez 5 days / 4 nights after meeting our driver /guide. You will begin with an orientation tour through its broad avenues.
Pick up will take place at the airport of Casablanca. You will drive to visit Hassan II Mosque as it is on of the largest mosques in the world, it is one of the rare mosques opened to non-Muslims. Overnight in your hotel.
After having your breakfast, we will drive to Rabat, the administrative capital of Morocco, Here the Oudaya Garden & Kasbah, the Mohamed V Mausoleum, the Hassan Tower Mosque. Continue to Meknes. Afternoon visit of the Ismaïlian capital of Morocco which has the longer ramparts in Morocco (40 km): the famous Bab Mansour gate, the Royal Stables. Overnight in Mekens.
After breakfast, we will head to Fez through Volubilis, the ancient Roman ruins and spend a few times exploring the 2000-year-old ruins and getting a picture of life during the Roman Empire. We continue our way to Fez. Overnight in Fez.
Today we will explore the UNESCO world heritage site of Fez and the oldest-largest medieval city in the world. Your guide will meet you at your hotel Explore the cultural and spiritual center of Morocco during this full day tour of Fez. Also known as Fez el Bali, this UNESCO World Heritage Site was founded in the 9th century, and is home to the world’s oldest university. The city of Fez reached its true economic and cultural height in the 13th–14th centuries under the Merinids, when it replaced Marrakesh as the capital of the kingdom. Fez has retained its status as the country’s Artisan center. Artisan workshops in the Medina are as active today as they were 100 years ago, and strongly contribute to the city’s industrial economy. Trades such as blacksmith, leather working, ceramics, silk, tapestries, and sculpting are still practiced in these workshops today. The original ramparts still protect this ancient city and its estimated 9000 narrow passageways and bustling streets. Depart early after breakfast towards Casablanca, we will pass through Meknes, Rabat. Then continue to Casablanca which is the end of the trip.
